Hard to pick, but I'm going for his most brutal performance and that is on Bloodbath's Ressurection Through Carnage. His deathmetal vox rule on that cd.

I chose Damnation the vocal performance is superb, but Mikaels Clean vox have been very good from Still Life on.

I would say 'Damnation'. Mikael said in an interview that it was more like a feeling, and I agree. With his grandmothers death and everything, he put alot of feeling into it...

I would say My Arms Your Hearse is his best growling performance. So I voted for that. Not quite as up front as RTC; a bit more haunting sounding, and I LOVE that sound. His clean vox are also great as always. I think his best clean vox though are on Still Life or Damnation.

It's a toss-up between BWP and Deliverance. Both of thoes albums have some of Mikael's most powerful growls and feature some of his best singing, although he's backed up by Steven Wilson a lot on BWP. Nonetheless I tossed a coin and it came out BWP.

where's Bleak ?or Harvest? i sure like his growly vocals but i sure prefer the mellow&calm parts.

Anyway, I'm surprised at all the votes for Deliverance. The growls are a bit more "brutal", but to me they lack the range and stability of Blackwater Park and Still Life. Nor is there anything like the end of Karma. The clean vocals are top notch though.
