I like them both so much, and both have added their own flavor to Symphony X's music.

Miller is the more technical player, and Lepond has a better knack for creating nice, smooth basslines. Both of them are my top influences.

My vote goes to Thomas Miller, mainly because I think he had more of an impact on Symphony X´s music than Lepond has had up until now. Besides, his style was so unique in Metal! And he was a great songwriter to boot... Miller, definitely Miller! :D

I'm more of a fan of Lepond, he's a lot smoother in his playing. When Miller played anything fast, the notes seemed all short, muffled, and jumbled... Lepond can just let it fly. Lepond's tone is a lot better, too. Miller had cool lyrics, though.

Not again....

This thread pisses me off. Every time there is a new forum member they start this same fucking thread.

If you think about it though, the results are quite a bit different at this point. Look at that spread in votes. But let's also come to grips with the reality that Thomas is not coming back to Symphony X. Kevin Moore isn't going back to Dream Theater either. It's just rather silly to keep wishing that the band would go back to a time when they are obviously not the same people and perhaps they aren't even remotely interested in the idea either. Things happen for reasons.

like i always say, personality plays a big part in music for me. I know for a fact that lepond is a great guy, so his music speaks to me more. Lepond all the way.
