Sorry, that was the best day closest to our CD release date. Can't move it. If you really want to know my answer, it is go to our show.

Off-topic, but did anyone else love Mindflow's first two albums, feel like they were the next big thing in prog metal, then feel a Queensryche-load of disappointment upon hearing Destructive Device? They got a new popular producer and everything changed. I had flashbacks of Megadeth's Risk album.

Nope. I actually feel the opposite. I like their first two discs, but I always thought that the band didn't know when to stop the songs. It's like they continued on and on and on for the sake of writing long prog metal.

First two albums were really good, but like Milton said they had a hard time ending the songs. Destructive Device really defiend who they were, and where they were going, With Bare Hands takes it a step further.

The majority of fans seem to feel that way, so I suppose they're doing the right thing I still love old Mindflow as I love old Pain of Salvation.

I'm still trying to figure out what the whole new album is all about..... I don't understand releasing PART of the 365 songs, with a few off of "Destructive Device". Add to this that the last two albums featured some of the coolest package in a long time, and this album goes exactly the opposite with no insert booklet or anything..... Very strange.

Personally, I miss the "Mind over Body" sound, but I also appreciate the fact that they have not yet released two albums that sound the same.... One thing I will say with the new album is that it sounds more "samey" throughout the disc than any of their others. Songs like "Breakthrough" jumped out on DD because they were so DIFFERENT than the rest of the disc, but here every song seems to sound like that. It's good, but doesn't have the same sort of impact.

I agree with that. Personally, I think they would've been better off re-releasing Destructive Device in a special edition type of thing with a couple of bonus tracks, and releasing 365 as a physical album as well. Not With Bare Hands. I don't get that.

Well, saw the show last night. First major disappointment was when the manager told us they'd be going on first instead of second after Last Perfect Thing, (Who?) contrary to what the website said. No one in NYC shows up at a concert on a Friday at 7:00. It's still happy hour. So, we trudged on over and sure enough, there was maybe 30 people on the floor and perhaps that many at the bar. Such a shame. They guys played their hearts out, and those of us who could, sang along to all the songs we knew, but B.B. Kings sound was muddy as hell which really detracted from the atmospheric qualities of their music which is one of the things that makes their sound so unique. All those crisp drumming time changes etc. were also lost in the sludge. I'm easily entertained and rarely come here to bitch about a performance, but truly I was disappointed, and mostly for them. I sure hope they get a better set up at their next date. On the positive, they played a couple of my favorites off Destructive Devices which was enjoyable despite the sound issues.

Glad I saw them in Poughkeepsie instead. The guys were as usual very happy to be on the road here in the US. Their sound was flawless in Poughkeepsie - I'll see if I can post some of the videos here later. Decent turn out too.

Ok, here's a few photos. Thank you B.B. Kings for not putting up a barrier to create a photo pit. Makes the job ever so much more fun for the photographers. Didn't matter for Mindflow since no one was there, (boo), but it was a nightmare trying to photograph Andy Parker of UFO. I sure made some enemies on the floor that night.
