"Ministry of Metal" Now Streaming Worldwide Sundays 7-10 PM Eastern Time

From now on, I'll probably just send you songs because you don't have a lot of things that I want to request anyway.

That's fine, but people need to stop expecting I have every song ever. I don't download, at all. And as much as I love playing as many requests as possible, there is the aspect of "listening to what Zephyrus likes and see if I like it."

I owe a great debt to audiophileguy for sending me about half the trad. metal I play, since he gave me a data disc with dozens of classic albums.

That's one of the things I like about listening to your radio station is that I can listen to different bands, that I normally don't listen to.

But, I do enjoy the older stuff too.

*edit* LOL at the African thing.

I'm pretty sure that you'd wind up liking most of the stuff that I'd want to request, so it works to your benefit anyway.

I'll have to make a new one, since his featured copious amounts of non-metal music that your listeners wouldn't want. I'll do it soon.

It's hard to recommend stuff from Swans because the early stuff and the later stuff are totally different.

The early music was really harsh, heavy and slow. It was basically a combination of post-punk and old noisy industrial music.

The later stuff is much different, as it features more than one vocalist and has a lot of softer, more lush and beautiful arrangements while still managing to retain a lot of the emotional intensity of the earlier stuff although the musical style is pretty different.

I like the later music more, because there was more thought put into it, but I still enjoy the earlier albums as well. They're definitely one of the best and most important bands of experimental music, art rock and post-punk.

I'll check out both eras then. Sample both.
