Hey guys, this is my first post on this board, although I've been keeping an eye on Theocracy since 2004. I think we can all agree that "Mirror" is a pretty diverse album, with alot of interesting twists and turns. My question to anyone who is interested in responding is this:
What would you say your two favorite songs on Mirror of Souls are, and why?
My answer:
#1 - Martyr, because it's very cool to hear those who have joined the ranks of martyrdom referenced as heroes, the little fiesta interlude, and the very maiden-esque dual guitars at the end. Love it.
#2 - Laying The Demon To Rest, because it is indeed crunchtastic, and one of the heavier tracks, but it touches on the very nerve of what believers are up against, the unseen enemy we all face day in and day out. (And it ain't gettin any easier.) The chorus is a gem. Nice to see somebody touch on this topic from a Christian standpoint, rather than pretend it doesn't exist.
