Mixing practice - Raw stems for you to mix and master!

Hi Joel,

Liked your track and gave it a shot.

A few of the thing I was focusing on:

More room and a larger one for drums
- ended up with throwing some SSD drums on top of your drums
- Added reverb to drum bus
Key should be higher because their contribution to the melody is significant
Solo needed more delay and reverb in my opinion
Break down session needed more punch so added sub bass tabs

I hope you like what I did

Just a snippet that i liked :)
thanks

Hey guys, it's time to get mixin'!

Here are the raw stems for a song off of my debut record. Though there is no real incentive - like a price or anything - I will give you my honest, in depth feedback on the mix, and hopefully both of us can come out of the experience as better mixing engineers.

Here are the stems:

Here's the drum midi (forgot to include it in the .zip above):

Tempo is 108BPM.

Here's mine:

If you dig the song, you can listen to more on Spotify, YouTube and pretty much every major platform. The album is called "Shift" and artist is "Joel Lindfors". I would also be thrilled if you considered "Liking" my Facebook page!

I know this post is almost 2 years old, but I just came across it and it's exactly what I'm looking for to practice mixing. Thx dude!

A little late to the game, but here's my mix. Used GGD Halpern for the drums and mixed in Cubase. Looking for some constructive criticism as i'm new to mixing.

Also if anyone has any good resources for more stems like this for mixing practice, please let me know. Thanks!
