It was fucking amazing!!! Anderson silva won Dan henderson last night and i'm pretty sure that nobody can stop this guy. Who is the next? Dana said that he is the best fighter in the world and i agree a lot with him.

UFC will have the best fighter in the world for a long long time.

I can't see a challenger more prepared then Silva in UFC.

Yes, A.Silvia is one of the best in the world. I would also say, though different weight classes and divisions, Q. Jackson is great, St. Pierre is a phenom (better than M. Serra), R. Couture is a living legend, and Uria Faber is probably the best lb. for lb. fighter in the world!

Afterage is good, Skyrion is good as well!

Are you a fan of the band Hibria? I believe they are from your parts, I think they are a great band!
Also, if you like Afterage, you should check out Outworld (from texas) with thier new great/brasilian singer-Carlos Zema.

I picked Anderon Silva to win this fight. Though Henderson did completely control the first round, and there are definitely some holes in Silva's game for sure.

It's a shame UFC refuses to sign Matt Lindland. They fired him for nothing, and outside of Dan I've always thought Matt would present a good style matchup for Silva.

Not familiar with Matt Lindland, whats his story?
Though he hasn't had much luck against Silvia, I think Rich Franklin is still one of the best contenders out there and poses a good matchup against Silvia.

i'm not into matt lindland too.

@muzmaze: i've never heard about these bands, but i'll check it out and introduce to my bro.

and i'd like to see a fight between A. Silva and St. Pierre. Would be very exciting

Yeah, I would love to see St. Pierre or Kieth Jardine against Silvia, but both would have to go up and/or down in weight class in order to face Silvia-who would probably stay at his current weight class and make the other fighters come to him.

Definitely! St. Pierre is probably the best conditoned well-rounded fighter out there.
Forrest Griffin is fun to watch-his fight against S.Bonnar awhile back was one of the alltime great fights!

Rashad Evans (undefeated) is fun to watch and is probably in that upper level of fighters mentioned earlier.

i guess that if St. Pierre loses the fight againt Serra, he should go up in weight class to bet A. silva.

btw, Serra x Pierre will be a great fight too, and probably keith jardine would lose a fight against A. silva.

I think it's possible that St. Pierre can move up in weight. He's big for a welterweight and he is a lot better than Serra, despite losing to him. George is the best in his division and it would be an interesting fight if he fought Silva - I think he'd stand a really good chance actually.

And Keith Jardine would get murdered if he fought anyone with a good technical standup like Anderson Silva. Jardine throws oddball punches and is a 'slugger' more than anything.

Silva NEEDS to move up to 205+. Supposedly his walking weight is 213....? I say he steps up with the bigger boys and let's see how he fares. He does, after all, have 4 losses to his record (outside of UFC), so he's not unbeatable. I'd love to see Silva vs. Liddell, (Wanderlei) Silva, Griffin, Jackson, Jardine, Rua, or hell....anybody. I love Anderson's fighting but let's be honest: he's dropped weight for some time to avoid a real precarious threat to his title.

Having said all that, I watched his first fight against Rich Franklin and I must say, Rich had NOTHING for Silva after the muy thai's started.

i disagree.

anderson silva doesn't have to move up to light heavy weight cuz his usual weight doesn't combine with his technich. His is very strong but very thin, and i think that he would lose his best qualities if he move up or down.

Oh contraire.....

Take a look at Silva vs. Franklin: look at who's musculature is larger.....Silva is NOT thin, bro. Silva is a man who ( by his own admission) likes to test himself: therefore, I say he move to his normal weight, which really isn't a "move", it's just his normal friggin weight. I (and many other fans) CRAVE seeing Silva pull off the same in a different weight division.....if not, he's just sitting there in the same division picking off guys who are lesser opponents than those he has fought before.

I agree, I think Silva should move up in weight, but eventually. I would still like to see him in a couple fights at 185. Possibly if St Pierre moves up, or outside of UFC with Lindland (because of the interestng style match-up) or Frank Shamrock. Though these are highly unlikely, especially since Frank and Matt will never be in the UFC.

There's no way he can make the cut to a lower weight class but he could move up in weight since yah, he walks around at a lot heavier weight. I don't think being heavier would really take that much away from him, he'd have more power in his punches and his technique is good enough so that I doubt he'll lose much of the basics in speed etc. And really, say if he was originally fighting at 205 and moved down to 185, people would be criticizing the move down a lot more than they would now, if he moved up in weight.

What boggles me is after the fight with Dan Henderson, people were saying that Rich Franklin did better against Silva than Dan did. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Dan win the first round of the fight (though maybe it wasn't impressive) to where Rich Franklin didn't do anything, and got destroyed. :Smug:

Dude, I thought Dan totally won the first round....I mean..he may have done it in the typical wrestler-blanket....punch style, but it was still an OBVIOUS win for the round. Even for round two I thought Dan might be victorious....but the minute he started looking gassed I was like "FUUUUUUUUUUCK...it's all over...." and then when Anderson got his back...I KNEW it was all over. Dan's strength is in his chin, not his ground DEFENSE, unfortunately. But yeah, I say we see Anderson at 205 to see what he's REALLY made of.

As far as Rich vs. Dan in the "us vs. Anderson" category.....Rich had to have has nose reconstructed after their first fight and then after the second was made an ASS of by sheer dodging manuevers from Silva. Dan, on the other hand, was MERELY choked out.

Does anyone care about the Rashad-Liddell fight? I don't, I want Rashad to win, but I'm not sure if that's such a great style match-up for him.

Fuck Rashad. Liddell is going to beat that dude into next year. If Liddell loses to Rashad I will forever despise Liddell for being a faggot. Rashad, when he was on the ultimate fighter, laid out some of the MOST BORING fights EVER. When he fought Bisping, he LOST, yet somehow managed to persuade stoned judges that he won. MEH @ Evans, fuckin MEH!!!!!!!!!!! Rashad WILL NOT take Chuck down, and he simply can't out-strike Chuck, unless Chuck is drunk when he shows up to the fight.

However, I did like the fact that Rashad fought Ortiz.......I really wish the ring would've caught on fire when they were fighting, as both fighters are a waste of flesh.

I never cared to watch TUF, but yeah I agree he's a boring fighter and really he lost to Ortiz as well despite the draw. However, I'm not a fan of Liddell so I wouldn't mind seeing him lose for the rest of his career. I thoroughly enjoyed it when he lost to Jardine (Keith's plan of playing it safe, avoiding exchanges, and jumping in and out and throwing awkward punches and leg kicks was brilliant! - I was on the edge of my seat hoping Jardine wouldn't eff things up.
