Their first fight was a pretty wild one And yeah it was a tko stoppage, he dropped him with a punch and then pounded him out. They actually had a rematch earlier this year in Bellator and Mirko pretty much fucked him up. Roy has a pretty powerful right hand a very good ground game, but he would have got killed if he tried to stand up with Cro Cop back in mid-2000's.

Roy's biggest "talent" is his titanium jaw, the amount of knockout artists who landed strikes on him that would have normally knocked someone out is pretty astounding.

yeah he def has a strong chin, but i think the mullet is what really powers him.
A good while ago i was at my friends bar and some dude walked in and was talking about how he was an mma fighter. After a few beers we started talking about punching techniques and i started noticing that this guy doesnt know what the fuck he's talking about. I pointed out that he doesnt know how to throw a proper jab and that he's most likely not even a fighter which he laughed off. So then we started talking about Roy Nelson and Mark Hunt, two guys im a HUGE fan of but i told him if they ever fought Mark Hunt would knock out Roy Nelson clean. For some reason, this guy who's supposedly a trained fighter who studies and follows the sport tried to tell me that Roy Nelson is a better striker than Hunt and I almost fell off my bar stool. Roy Nelson is a fat brawler who would get KILLED in the K-1 arenas. I told him to mark down that conversation because they will fight one day down the road, and they did. Hunt faceplanted him. That being said he did surprise me by eating numerous clean shots form one of the hardest punchers to ever step foot in an mma ring/cage.
Oh and the guy actually ended up being a fighter, i youtubed him and found a clip of him trying to pump out his stiff little jab to only get taken down and pounded out.

I remember that Hunt v Roy fight, cleaned him out with an uppercut and did his classic 'knock out walk away' finish. Great fight, love both those guys.

canelo kovalev was ok. nip and tuck in a similar way to the canelo ggg fights except kovalev got wrecked at the end

i only saw that fight but it was pretty uneventful until the quick KO at the end. The UFC card wasnt too good either but it did have a few highlight finishes.
