Man i miss PRIDE. I still have most of the old ones on DVD but im always watching clips and highlights on youtube. Here's a good one for. My all time favorite middleweights all come from PFC but at the top of that list will always be Shogun. Dude in his prime was an absolute warrior who had no brakes whatsoever....

his battle with Lil Nog(after Rampage) is still one of my favorite matches to watch and and him beating up on light heavyweights and heavyweights was always fun to watch too.

damn, i didn't know about that. he was around at the height of my boxing obsession, he was legit too, every loss on his record is against someone elite and aside from the slightly misguided comeback against ggg literally all of them were close/disputed decisions. pretty sure he deserved the win in the charlo fight and one of the lara fights. rip

Yeah he definitely beat charlo and lara in their first fight. And while he never gained the popularity he deserved, he was truly a nightmare for anyone that stepped in the ring with him. He was beating the crap out of seasoned veterans during his sparring sessions iut here... and he wasn't even 18 yet at the time. His picture is still up in that gym. Very gifted fighter. Last i saw him was about a year ago. He was with his beautiful little daughter. Just as soft spoken and respectful as always. I know i said this a few times but he was just an extremely humble and genuinely a very good dude and it always sucks when someone like dies young.

EDIT: i'd say he was probably the most talented Armenian boxer we've had. While others liike Vic Darchinyan and Arthur Abraham were more well know, none of them were an overall better boxer than he was... not even cloe to be honest.
