I am too lazy to watch the video, but i generally agree.
The only thing MW2 is good at is graphics and fast action.

I am a fan of REALISTIC combat simulators like ARMA2 for example.

So many things wrong in MW2: Wolverine style regeneration, incorrect/nonexistant bullet speed simulation, extremely dumb enemies, invulnerable essential friendlies, idiotic combat tactics enforced on you by the script etc etc...

I finished the game once and uninstalled it.

Gotta say I thought it wasn't anything special. I hate 'tunneled' gameplay like that. Everything leads from one setpiece to the next... retardedly respawning enemies, idiotic combat tactics (as mentioned) and just generally frustrating gameplay that seems to revolve around you dying enough times until you remember exactly where the enemies spawn so you can own them before the next bunch get in there. Some of those timed sequences are purely about luck. Funny since even if you have a squad with you, somehow the majority of the enemies and helicopters are always going for YOU.

Was a big fan of Rainbow 6 back in the day, more recently SWAT 4, Operation Flashpoint and IL-2 Sturmovik, so playing through MW2 was a bit like listening to the Top 40 charts.

I totally agree! The single player campaign is such a bore.. And the movement is so fluid that I get no connection and gameplay feeling. I like it when it's rough and slow like Gears of War, Killzone etc... However, the same fluent gameplay feeling is the reason why the multiplayer is so fucking intense! Love it.
