Monitoring preference: Nearfield with Main vs Nearfield with Sub

I don't expect getting ton of reply for obvious reasons...
But anyway, what you guys prefer to work on and why?

Too me, balancing low frequency element always come easier and quicker on main vs nearfield with sub.
To be honest I never had so much luck with nearfield with sub. Doesn't sound natural to me this way...
I'm alone with this feel or what?

I always mix with my sub off and when Im happy with the mix... I turn on the sub to see how it translates. Most people dont listen to music with a sub anyway. So I believe its best to mix with it off and use some consumer gear in testing a mix. Now for rap,hip hop, dance or some pop music, then mixing with the sub on is a good thing, for obvious reason
