Fender has been owned by several different companies and certain years in each era are known for much higher QC standards. PS who gives a shit if they all LOOK the same...

I do, cuz I think they all look painfully boring (but that's me, of course - I can appreciate Strats, I guess, cuz nothing sounds like one, but good christ are they dull looking to me, and all EXACTLY THE SAME)

Exactly the impression I got.
Just seems like a kid that's really excited over his first guitar and never really grew out of that stage, which is cool to be honest.

Marcus, there's two kinds of people in this world, those that understand Strats, and those that don't. Kidding aside, I have 3 Strats and LOVE them. They may be "boring" to some, but at least you recognize one of the best qualities, their unique sound. Everyone should have at least one Strat laying around, you'd be surprised at all their uses, especially their superior sound for sweeping That is, of course, if you do sweeps and/or care haha.

Oh, and MAB is goofy.

you may well not like his playing or the way he presents himself... but Michael is an incredibly nice guy, and so NOT a douchebag. i've met and dealt with douchebags in this business.... and MAB is definitely not among them.
