I'm looking for speed metal that's very aggressive without necessarily being full thrash. To clarify, I'm using "speed metal" to refer to metal that's very fast without being as erratic and percussive as thrash metal.
Iron Angel has some stuff that's like that, at least on their first album. I also like a lot of harsh vocals and some black metal influence, as heard on Sodom's earliest work. I personally feel that a lot of what gets labeled as "black/thrash" leans a bit more on speed metal. Think "Hardrocker" by Gehenna. It's fast and aggressive, but in a less-refinsx punk way, and I enjoy that.
