More new work from me

[Machinated]

Literally finished the tracking of this today, basically did 4 songs with these guys in July and they wanted to do another 2 songs and an interlude so they can get this released all over the country. That means I have a deadline coming up real soon to get this done for the next "window" for release....

That aside, its just gearbox right now for guitars, they will be reamped tomorrow. I'm thinking through the Rectifier here, but maybe the Peavey or Krank.

Worked on some levels, automation, and polishing things up. Haven't started editing guitars yet as I haven't reamped yet.

Sounds really good so far (of course!). I think the Recto's sound will lend itself very nicely to this.

Yeah, I feel inclined already to go with the recto. I have used a 5150 with this band before a few times and always had great results and its also the amp they use. I think its time to try out the recto for this though

Hmm, pretty cool Ed, can't wait to hear it reamped! I definitely think the punch of a Recto would work better than the smoothness of the 5150 for this. Also, I feel the vox are way too low, and the hi-hat (and maybe kick) too loud.

And GOD FUCKING DAMMIT, why did a breakdown have to come in? The song wasn't bad until that came and pigeonholed it into the realm of extreme cliche. sssssiiiiiggghhhh...

Reamped version

OK, triple Rectifier version. Surprising how similar this sounded compared to the pod, that said this sounds far more alive and just better generally. and FUCK ME is the triple loud. Unbelievably loud.

Yeah the hats were too loud, and vocals were too quiet in the chorus, that should be fixed now. Did an album with these guys, they have the guy who did Enter Shikari's video directing a video for them, and a good artist doing artwork and stuff.

What do you guys think?

Oh wow, thank god! I'm so glad they refrained from lamo screamo vocals, for which, I'll forgive the breakdown. Reminds me a lot of Fightstar, which is never a bad thing. Love the use of the Recto as well. Oh and great mix, sounds pretty perfect to me!

That recto sounds great in this. It's well suited to this. Maybe the vocals could come up just the TINIEST bit. But even as is, I really like it!

Cheers guys. Yeah listening again the vocals are perhaps a little quiet, but I don't think its particularly bad, they just kind of sit in with the music. Im really happy with the guitar tone on this stuff

I don't like the drums sound at all though.
