It is. They're up to something of monstrous proportions. Even though guest appearances do not make an album's quality, just have a look at the one-time line-up they summoned for the new album:

Thomas Hallborn (Breach) - saw him live helping out The Ocean back in April, most intense gig ever.

I haven't heard it myself, a good friend who works for Prophecy Productions has though. Well, he heard two songs. If the whole album is kept in the style of these two songs, Hexenwind will lack the heaviness of the previous releases and only have clean vocals. The overall sound is said to be rather "poppy". According to my friend, some fans will accuse the band of sellout. Oh well, we'll see...

Picked it up at PP. Not sure how I feel about it yet. Took me a while to warm to "Towers". It will probably take me 3 or 4 more spins before my opinion solidifies.

The new vocalist is cool, but no where near as good as Erik. His melodies have a sense of sameness to them.
