Most emotive Katatonia lyrics?

wahwahwahwah....
music_guitar2.gif

she was so beautiful... is from canibal corpse - striped, raped and strangled

"they think they know who i am
all they know is i love to kill
face down, dead on the ground
find me before another is found..."
(i think it was that way... it was ages since i last listened to it :) )

Just thinkin' of a way to make this thread even more interesting...
Why are these single lines so important to you? Does a specific line mean something special to you? Is there a story behind it? Is this too much fucking emo?

Im gonna get back to you on this one....we have had similar threads in the past....but I think it is a great way for us all to relate to Katatonia and each other.......(I just got back online and I want to check up on a bunch of shit before I spend an hour writing out all my stories.... ;) )

*****Any colours to express apart from bleak is hard*****

one in a million i'm the one turning pale (Deliverance6  )

you're like waiting incurable disease left me waiting inside the fall :erk:

what is worth with being here I pray so often for a change

how could this go so very wrong
that I must depend on darkness
would anyone follow me further down :yell:

and finally; maybe because the way he sings it, or most probably because of the times I listened it...:

The sky has frozen to a wall
We die we all

scourge, thats probably my favourite katatonia lyric - hence my user name

"Four numbers staring back at me - displaying the mediocrity of my presence -
I'm wasting my day, watching them change"

there are way too many to mention though, katatonia makes very touching music

How about a change of topic slightly...Which Katatonia music snippet do you find the most emotive? Be it vocals, guitar, bass or drums, which do you find conveys the most feeling and emotion?

I think the Rawr-Rawwwr-RAWR in the beginning of Endtime by ol' Mikael makes the song.

The distortion and vocal tone in Quiet World

The dolphin/guitar part of Deadhouse

That amazing riff in I Transpire at 0:18

The second "And the air I breath isn't damp..." in Last Resort

:)

"You would never sleep at night if you knew what I've been through"
"There are children on the freeway"
"Headlights fuck the city"

"There are moments I find myself not breathing at all..."

the quiet riff in 'right into the bliss'

the main chorus riff of 'deadhouse'

the melody of the chorus of 'will i arrive'

to name but a few

The instrumental ending to "no devotion"
The clean guitar part after the first heavy riff in "no good can come of this"
The intro part to "funeral wedding"
The heavy part in "a darkness comeing"
"gone"

"Pale dead walls, nerves pushed in pain"
-That's just amazing imagery.

"It would have been strange to turn around"
-That reminds me of something I would think

"And here the air that I breathe isn't dead"
-Again, great imagery

"When you said that life can't be what you want and I really want everything"
-Reminds me of me...

"Need more methods for ending each day, to be happy with living this way"
-Also reminds me of me...

"Somehow I never leave this deadhouse, somehow I don't mind being gone"
-Excellent snapshot of melancholy

"Will the streetlights reflect me well enough?"
-Really great imagery...

I've always been partial to the chorus in "The Future of Speech".
Also the chorus in "Will I arrive" gets me pumped for some reason.

12:

"The moon gave me flowers
For funerals to come"

"12 shapes bow before her
I am still one of them
12 morbid ways to die
Her beauty scares me"

Rainroom:

"I saw it end long before it ended
Life itself turned pale and ended
I saw you cry out acres of your image
Life itself does not heal me"

"We saw it all pass by and you went by
And I can't control anything
When you said that life can't be what you want
And I really want everything"

No Good Can Come Of This:

"I read a letter I never sent
and saw me smiling on a picture
this is nothing I remember
whatever made me feel so"
