Most Pro sounding mix you've achieved...

My definite best was this: http://www.box.net/shared/6v9fr8ntl3

I still have no clue how it turned out so nice, but back then I had EMU0404, Behringer Minimic800 and AT2020 and most expensive thing was a guitar which was RG370DX with EMG-81 in the bridge and was done with Line6 emulation.
Drums were AD, no sample replacement, and bass was also software, Broomstick bass if I remember corectly.
Also, room was 2x3m, untreated of course (moving out is probably the best treatment for it anyway  )

Ghetto recording FTW

one of my band's songs
GTRS quad tracked going into juicy 77
BASS going into two tracks, one is juicy77, one is ampegsvt with cab bypass

I don't remember which impulses I used.

DRUMS are Superior 2.0 with circasurvive kick sample 75% blended in and
a snare sample (can't remember atm) blended about 45%.

VOX double tracked with SM58.

everything into original MBOX.

this is the band by the name of Enemies of Inertia who share the same drummer with grind bands Kill the Client/Gridlink/Noisear.

this was recorded, mixed, and 'mastered' by me at the studio I currently work at. real tube amps/cabs, bass and real drums. no sample replacement/augmentation on drums.

everything into Digi 192 I/O except snare btm, kick, oh's, hi-hat went into HHB Radius 10 preamps.

gareth, our cover! :D

i'm just finishing up on album, but it's something i'd already like to put on here!

some nice mixes here already, i see!

thanks,

Thanks man.

Well... it took me about 6 months to comp and mainly put those vocals in tune... every line is tracked 3 times and carefully mixed. Nevertheless, it is a good voice.

6 months:OMG: I admire your patience and persistence, I think that I could not do the same. But I see that was not a waste of time because you achieved a great mix.

I know it sounds crazy and I completely lost all my patience and really pushed myself to finish this album... but I'm glad I did it.

Glad you liked it, the guitars were tracked 4 times, using a JSX. The panning is standard 100%,80%,-100%,-80% (I'm happy I didn't mess the phase up - was using a phasescope all the time)

Hey Nuno,

It might need fine tuning but I like your sound and the feel of the track.

How did you track the guitars ?

Thanks a lot men. I did not tracking anything. I picked a song here on the forum and I mixed it. As for the guitars I used the DI with ampsims, impulses but it have a lot of processing. It was not easy to get that sound.
