I need some stuff to mix

Working on some better drums and guitar tones right now. The only thing bugging me is the toms, some of the hits sound really dull and muddy, and some sound nice and punchy.

Re-did just the toms myself using Superior 2.0

Nice mix cobhc! I feel the bass guitar is a bit "undifined" in my listening...and there are some low frequencys that sounds "muddy"...but better than my mix:)

here is mine. Tried to keep everything as natural as possible like it was recorded. The guitar tone while being high gain is spot on for the song. Its all mixed and mastered.

One thing I don't get is why everyone has to drumm replace SD2.0 for SSD3, which I think sounds pretty fake, and honestly after hearing the Raw SD2.0 clips, i definately need it now, some great fucking drum sounds fromt that thing. The raw drum tracks were pretty realistic sounding in a good pop rock sort of way, my only complaints being the snare being compressed already as it was not the way I like to compress.

I also don't get how everyone had to bring the keys down seems to be something that is thrown in the backseat in this forum; seems the attitude is if you can hear the snyths in the mix they are too loud *sigh*. There were great choir parts and string parts that were really nice and added and atmosphere that really need to be heard, so up yours Synth haters, I brought mine up if you can tell, as I tried to make sure you could every little detail.

I think my version sounds pretty radio ready IMO, If I didn't know that I mixed it, I would have thought that the track was from some signed band overseas (from me) and done professionally. Not tutting my own horn, since I hardly did shit, the raw tracks we were given were ace, it was just a matter of getting out the essence of all the tracks together.

here's mine, I had troubles due the massive number of tracks, I dunno what you would thinkg.
it's "masterized" and limited

@freddrik : I think the piano is too far. I like the drums, maybe
@the zeronaut : I think the guitars need to be more incisive, agressive, maybe ?
@Cobhc : yours sounds great ! I would personnality prefer a bit less of verb generally, especially on the drums. it has a massive feeling anyway. can I ask you what verb/delay you used for the vocals and the overall sound ?
@chrisjmp : seemed ok to me

here is my mix, mp3. The funny thing is that I didnt run the guitars thru any amp sims, I thought they were recorded thru an amp (just read they are not). So if you want a different feel to the song have a listen. Spent an hour on it, but couldn't be bothered going back to add any impulses.

I had a go at mastering, so it is loud but I probably messed the mix alot
