John Myung. Another amazing bass player. I think people don't give him the props he deserves because the guy NEVER SPEAKS.

Now that you mention it, I don't think I have ever seen/read an interview with him. Maybe he's a mute.

Somebody said Richard Christy. DEFIFUCKINGNITELY. And just think he was 23 on Death's Sound of Perseverance. My fucking jaw dropped when I heard just the first song. I can't believe he's Howard Stern's sidekick.

Mucho props to Billy Gould. Mike Bordin is also under-rated.
I have to agree that King and Hanneman are over-rated, but as lead players, not rhythm players. They are the fucking godfathers of thrash riffage.

Charlie. He is at the technical level or Portnoy and Peart, but he gets no love like those guys do. Plus he is faster then both of them put together. It is very rare that you find someone who can play as fast as him, and can also play as slow and heartfilled as him. Usually the two styles are not found in one person.

dude, check out some death metal drummers.....they could destroy Charlie. I don't even like death metal, but our bassist loves it, and he showed me some videos of a guy (I forget which band) and he was just insane, I didn't think any human could move that quick.

under-rated would definately be Tommy T. Baron, he is a GOD on guitar, his riffage AND solos are the kind you never forget even after amnesia. Bobby Gustafson is also highly under-rated. He wrote everything in Overkill's first 4 albums, yet Blitz and D.D. just love to take credit for them.

I agree slash is WAY overrated. I can't stand his playing, and people just worship the guy. Kirk Hammet is also overrated.....I see magazines or ezines saying he's one of the greatest guitarists ever.......give me a fucking break. He only has two solos.....Blackened, and everything else.

Bass=Cliff Burton(awesome but we didnt really hear that much of him and people say he is the best and dissagree)
Lead=Zakk Wylde(i dont have to explain)
Drums=Lars

I'm just glad that Ken is on the mend - I really think that the barrier to the whole reunion is now Bill, who seems hell bent on living in 1972. No chance of Amott playing, but I wonder what Carlos Regardas is doing these days?

Zakk Wylde can play any any kind of music you can come up with (except maybe rap) and it's fucking beyond stupid that people don't respect him as a musician just because they don't like his opinions.
