Motley Crue Reunioun/Farewell tour

Aren't you giuy jumping the gun a bit? I mean there has been no "official" word that will even happen. They still need to get Tommy on board & then he & fat Vince have to settle things between them...
If & when it happens, I wonder if they will finish the tour? I think they will have a meltdown...

I didn't know there was a reunion/farewell tour planned for Motley Crue because last I heard was:
1) Nikky is just starting with his new band Brides of Destruction, which he says is a REAL band and not a side project.
2) Mick Mars was having some health problems and Nikky said in a recent interview that that was the main wild card in a Motley reunion.
3) Tommy Lee appears to be still into rap music so dies he even want to play hard rock again?
4) Vince Neil, well, I suppose he's all for it since I know he plays Crue songs on his solo performances.

i know im going to probably get smacked for this. but this band much like metallica needs to just go away lol .... Nikki did the right thing with a new band.. Tommy needs to be electrocuted, Mick i dont know what to say about him.. and Vince is turning into a fat elvis circa Las Vegas years in a jumpsuit... dont get me wrong i was a diehard Crue fan in the 80's but there days are long gone... much like metallica's... both should die gracefully or just plain die lol .....

When's the last time you went to a ball game & were asked to throw a fucking pitch?!

I wasn't talking about THE MUSIC. I was referring to one's ego, SIXX has sold out arenas & larger venues, I don't care who the hell you are, playing clubs is shit. How many times have you heard or read a band say "We love clubs, it gets us closer to the fans," or some bullshit remark like that? I think it was Peter Criss that said that a damn lie! Of course you'd love to sell arena out!!!! Who the hell wouldn't?! That's why it called THE MUSIC BUSINESS!!!! Wait a minute... Why the fuck should you even care?! Then they are just the perfect example of sell outs and are only doing it for the money this time around and not because they care about the band, music or their fans. But like i said Nikki did the right thing and is moving on with a new band which the others should do. Judas Priest & Van Halen. I think any other band, is guilty of being broke & needing the money, the music & their fans come second. Perfect example KISS. If they had any damn pride, they woul oull the cover band off stage, take the paint off & tour like that. I love Singer & Thayer, but they have no business putting on the paint! Nikki did put together an original project(that sucks balls, by the way)& is touring behind it & not exclusively playing Crue material & for that he gets my respect.

Hehehe thats funny what you said about them being a Kiss cover band... as for J. Priest they are forgiven in my book cause Halford never should of left in the first place.. as for VH.. clearly money since Eddie was down in the dumps with his wife leaving and not being able to make a hit album anymore without either DLR or Sammy.. my prediction is Sammy will leave again when Eddie starts being a egotistical ass again.. they should of cut out his whole tongue for saying stupid shit about the VH vocalists (yeah i know bad joke but hey i really do not like Eddie's personality and his guitarwork is sub par nowadays..).... anyways me still getting a chuckle about the Kiss thing lol .. and as for Nikki his band might suck and all but like you said he deserves respect for what he is doing... Old School threads are much cooler to post in then at the General Music Discussion threads.. no one thinks they are above anyone here and can discuss things freely (even when people have different opinions that dont agree) without being attacked (not to mention no one is analyzing your spelling/grammar here meticulously lol).. thanks Sixxswine for the Kiss chuckle hehe and for being civil...

If they(Motley) can get it together, I'd love to see them. If it's some half assed effort, I'd rather not. The clock is ticking & these guys aren't getting any younger...
If you watch Lewd Crued & Tattooed, you will see that Mick & Nikki are still very much in form on it and as a band, they are still excellent live. I found watching that DVD that the band certainly still come across with a big dose of attitude and fresh energy about them and not a nostalgia act or has-been rock band... the only downfall of that show was Vince Neil's awful vocals (but then again he couldn't even sing live in 1983 so whats the difference?).
I would imagine with Tommy Lee on drums and Vince apparently getting back in shape that the reunion tour could only be an improvement on the Maximum Rock tour which was pretty cool anyway...
