:OMG: So the show from my perspective started out with a quick stop at Mobil for a big Bud Light and some smokes for the wife. With 24oz. down, we headed in and found our seats in like five seconds (after the first of many stops to the beer stand for an $8.00 beer). We were seated and Motorhead comes running out from backstage with a blast of distorted chord scraping immediately blasting into what sounded like the same song eight times, with a drum solo from Mikkey Dee to break up the monotony. Ace of Spades of course was aired near the end, but suprisingly a blistering rendition of the song Overkill (which I know as a result of the Metallica cover on the Garage Inc. disc) ended the performance. On my third (or so) trip to the beer rapists, I ran into the Fall of Empyrean guys (minus Justin curiously) and traded growls with Richard...HailZ. As night fell on the pavilion, Dio took to the stage with some song I've never heard, and stormed immediately into Last in Line during which I was FREAKING THE FUCK OUT!!! Needless to say the rest of the set included all the Dio hits including Mob Rules and the essentials like Holy Diver and Rainbow in the Dark.
Finally after an inspiring rally in the bathroom (you had to have been there, but in a nutshell: I was waiting in line to take a piss, and the bathroom was totally silent, and I scream IRON FUCKING MAIDEN!!!, and the whole place just went berzerk with dudes banging the walls and slamming the doors open and closed, it was the coolest feeling to have started that) and yet another stop at the fucking cocksuckers who bled me for hundred of dollars on beer, it was time for MAIDEN!!!!
The Number of the Beast kicked off the madness which led into a set that included The Clansman, Run to the Hills, Fear of the Dark, The Trooper, and a fucking incredible evening all around!!!
Tickets for two including bullshit fees:$85.00
Parking at the Pavilion:$10.00
Gas to and from with the AZ gas conspiracy/crisis:$6.00
Concert shirt:2XL $40.00
Concert poster:$10.00
Beer for two:24oz.=$8.00-x 10 beers=$80.00
Seeing Iron Maiden and Dio absolutely kick fucking ass:priceless
For every thing else theres blah, blah, blah........
Damn that was a lot of typing. :worship:  :worship: :kickass: :kickass: :kickass:

I agree with you Nathan, fuckin great show!! When Dio played Mob Rules it was like I was back in my bedroom in 1982, 11 years old, and listening to Mob Rules on cassette. Fuckin time warp! But I loved every minute of it. Had good seats dead center in section 203. Maiden as always were all class! I've seen them 10 times and look forward to another 10! I only got hit for 4 of the $8 beers (I was driving:erk:)

Yeah, Nate, I wanted to go, but when the guys got the tickets, I was broke. By the time they had realized they had an extra ticket left, I had already made plans with my girlfriend to go to some family party of hers. I really only wanted to see Maiden anyway, but it would have been cool to hang out with the band. I hear Maiden is touring again later this year, though, so I'll go then.

well, me and two buddies head down to the concert. We decided to park at that mall nearby thus avoiding the parking costs. Good move #1. I don't drink but they gauged you out of your money whatever your choice of food or beverage.:erk:
Motorhead is very good but it does get repetitious to me.
Dio really impressed me that after all this time, the little elf can still really belt out the vocals.
We had excellent seats being front and center in section 103, row m.:loco:
Cole and Ryan were also in 203.
Iron Maiden never disappoints. If I have half as much energy as Bruce at his age, I will be happy. My only thing seeing them every tour it seems is I wish they would change up some of the older songs they play. I understand they have to play new songs and I am so glad they keep putting out new cds. My complaint is that the old songs they choose to play remain mostly the same each tour and they have sooo many songs to choose from. Either way, it was a great show.

Now for Las vegas metalfest!!!

JESUS CHRIST NATE, I do not think I have ever had the pleasure of seeing that much of your typing! Well, fucking glad you had such a good time, due to me being so broke and saving for Vegas Fest, I decided to miss this show. A shitty thing I had to do, indeed, but hopefully I will feel better about that soon.

See ya this weekend homie:)
