Hey guys,

Thread title says it all. Are there any simple, free .mov encoders around on Windows?

I need one to basically shrink my raw .mov files from the camera into something encoded with Xvid or whatever.

Thanks man!

Follow up question: How should I encode it for best compatibility with YouTube? What resolution, codec etc.?

It doesn't really matter Youtube will handle and destroy your videofiles anyway :D

But If you can edit the raw mov files in your editing program I would keep them in that format and when you're done export the movie as a mov aswell. Want to save some space convert to divx avi. Youtube handles almost every format so you should be fine with whatever.
