I've been thinking about giving it a try, but changing your e-mail program is always such a hazzle and I'm wondering whether it is worth it since I'm already using a pretty secure e-mail program, i.e. I'm neither using Outlook nor Outlook Express.
I use Thunderbird, and its pretty great. I'd definitely recommend it as an alternative to Outlook, since it basically has all the features of Outlook (Express) and none of the bullshit security loopholes.
I've taken a look at Thunderbird and it looks nice, but is there a way to somehow lock the program itself or preferably the e-mail folders with a password? My current e-mail program does both and I've come to appreciate this feature.
Not that I'm aware of, but if you're using NT/w2k/XP, you can set permissions so that only you can access it, if you have admin rights and set up seperate accounts for whomever uses the computer (a good idea)...
