I've been thinking about giving it a try, but changing your e-mail program is always such a hazzle and I'm wondering whether it is worth it since I'm already using a pretty secure e-mail program, i.e. I'm neither using Outlook nor Outlook Express.

I've been using Thunderbird for a while now and it's quite good actually.

I've always liked Netscape Mail and never liked Outlook. I've been using Thunderbird since I started using Firebird/Fox as my default some time ago.

Great application!

Depends what you're using now. I use Thunderbird and love it, but I've only ever used Outlook prior to getting Thunderbird.

I've taken a look at Thunderbird and it looks nice, but is there a way to somehow lock the program itself or preferably the e-mail folders with a password? My current e-mail program does both and I've come to appreciate this feature.

Not that I'm aware of, but if you're using NT/w2k/XP, you can set permissions so that only you can access it, if you have admin rights and set up seperate accounts for whomever uses the computer (a good idea)...

That's about all I can suggest.
