Tag & rename can rename files and add id3tags to already existing mp3s by just scanning the folder and files and comparing it to albums in the cddb. I use it when I download whole albums which are named in a horrible way. One - two - three clicks and all my mp3s are named the way I want it and have the proper id3tags, which to me are very important. Bumblefoots comment about not needing id3tags is not even worth commenting.

I sure hope we aren't talking about the same product, "HELIUM2: TAG AND RENAME EDITION". I used that program, and while it mentions CDDB, it says that it's only included in the 2 other editions of Helium MP3 Categoriser (the ones you have to pay for) so I did all my mp3's the 'long' way, by batch tagging and using that to auto change the filenames.

You wouldn't happen to know the name of the developers for the product your refering to, would you?
