Here is my rig for live shows / touring this year:
Guitar: JP7 BFR with Bareknuckle Nailbombs
Amp: EVH 5150III
Cab: Mills Acoustics Afterburner with V30
Rack:
Peterson Stroborack tuner
ISP decimator pro rack G noisegate
Fractal Axe FX Ultra
Furman
Axess GRX-4 MIDI loop switcher
Maxon OD-808 boost
Pedalboard (Trailer Trash):
Axess Electronics FX-1 MIDI footswitch
Square 1 and Ernie Ball Expression pedals
Axess Electronics BS-2 buffer
Pedal Power 2
Evidence audio cabling
The signal path is set up so that the Axe-FX can be used both in front or in the FX loop of the amp (4 cable method). Everything is in the GRX4 loops so my path is straight to amp if i'm not using FX.
Using the Axe this way causes a ground loop so I have an isolation transformer to break that and kill the hum.
All the FX are provided by the Axe and controlled via MIDI, and I use it as a preamp into the EVH power section for certain sounds as well.
Hope to see all the Canuckers come out of the woods on our tour this fall!
