My DIY tube preamp test...

Quick test using my home made tube preamp... :goggly:
Sorry for the shitty drums and "mastering" (I think I've gone a bit over the top with the limiter :D).
Quadtracked riffing:

A bass would probably help a lot, but I haven't it at my disposal...

Comments are welcome!

Cheers

Sounds good. Quite tight.

For the bass you could program it in Guitar Pro, then export the .wav and eq it a bit, it sounds very decent and works for me.

Maybe the kick has a bit too much low-end also.

Damn I like that tone!
Would you mind sharing the "blueprint"?
Because I know its possible to modify that to the thrashtone of my dreams.

Thanks guys.
I'll try to tweak the kick, probably it has too much low frequencies (I've boosted some 50-60Hz and probably it was not really needed...)

About the "blueprint", do you mean the PCB layout? If so, I can't, cause this preamp is PTP hand-wired (a little bit messy, I must admit :D), so, no pcbs were used...
It is a Bogner XTC-based preamp (red channel only), you can easily find the schematics online if you're interested...
If you need any other infos/details, just PM me...

Cheers
