My favorite production: Unearth's III

It's always great to see how tastes can differ.
I personally would always name LoG and Unearth if I'm asked for my favourite guitar-tone :D

both ashes of the wake and sacrament are two guitar tracks of performances and depending on the part upto like 4 or 6 tracks of amps.

in other words they double tracked the songs. then the parts were reamped through a mark iv like 98% of the time and for some sections a more gritty amp like an orange, or a sans-amp di, or a marshall was added the clarify picking and such. the other amp is very easy to pick out especially on ashes of the wake. it is more squeezed together on sacrament. but yeah their producer wrote an article in guitar world i think about how he only uses two tracks of guitar because more mics and more tracks just make it sound louder and not bigger. which i totally believe.

Thanks fo the article man.

I like Machine's job on some albums, especially for the guitar sound : last Bloodsimple, last Everytime i die... but i dislike the LoG guitar tone.

I also prefer 2 guitar performances (one on each side) instead of four or more (i pretty much agree with the reasons he gives).
