hey john! i just saw those DBX 160's and the newer DbX underneath that in your rack (myspace picture) how do you like the newer DBX stuff? or do you use it for the gates?

Ah sorry man I dont browse this forum as much as I should/used to.

The newer DBX stuff I dont really use to be honest, but when I do its mainly for the gate which is rare or I might use them for a touch of comp for toms. The 160's and 160X I use mainly for tracking. And for mixing I'll use them for a volume boost kinda like a Disstressor adding a bit of distortion to the track.

I think the Newer dbx stuff is alright dont get me wrong but ever since I purchased the Channel Strip plug-in I dont use my out board comp as much.
