MY first ezdrummer attempt

not too bad!
I think drums (esp Snare and kick) couold be a Tad louder, the snare is too far away (reverb) and missing some crack, like compressed too much and with a too short attack.
if you didn't compress it that way and it's just a sample I'd try using dominion (free vst...Killer Plugin!!) on it.
the syncopated hits in the beginning seem to be a bit off.

your band?
really like the music!
not bad for scratch tracks on the vocals, wish I could sing like that ;)

I want more Attack on the Drums!! lol :D

wow love the guitars!! yeah the drums is cool but the snare is to far away

but awesome

its like the hit of your band? send the song to the radios in usa haha

Cool song!

The mix sounds pretty good man... only thing that really comes to mind on my first listen, is that the snare is too far away.. like mentioned early, bring that sucka up a bit, less verb and some more pop.

I would love to hear the kick more as well, but that's minimal.. nice mix indeedy!

How did you got that guitar sound? Was it your iso cab?

awesome tone... Its like I can almost feel the air being pushed by the speaker :)

take care

I forgot this thread was about EZDrummer. I was concentrating on the guitars they sound so good. They're taking over the mix though.
If it was the iso cab, which mic was it?
I'm impressed with the vocals also. That's you? Sounds close to the original.
Here's a clip of it you guys, click the 3rd cd cover down, 1st song.

Doesn't anybody listen to the radio anymore?

Yeah, it's been said, but once you fix the timing of the snare hits at the start and raise the Kick that's one pretty nice mix dude. Gotta say it again, whatever mic/pre you use on vocals is awesome. So crisp. I listen to "When she's kneeling" (if it's the same mic/pre) and am amazed at how nice and crisp those vocals are. The mutes on the guitars at the start do seem to push some air. Nice job.

ah, thanks guys!
my subscribed threads thing isn't working I didnt realize I had all these responses.

the vox on that and "while she's kneeling" are an sm7 into an ancient pentron tube mixer pre into my topaz board (the sm7 needs tons of gain)

the guitars are my 77 goldtop>the triple xxx> jcm800 >cab with vintage 30's and a 57 quad-tracked a la Mr. Sneap.tracked loud (sold my iso cab, but I built another one, I will post some samples soon) My sovtek might have been involved to (I should fill out track sheets when I'm dicking around, but I don't)

I looped the intro of the original and just tweaked shit until I got it close.

I'm trying to show prospective bands that I can get whatever sound they want, or get close. I mean its a demo studio but I'm trying to get close to the big boys (learning from you guys helps a lot!) and it helps my chops to aim for something familiar.

thanks for the vocal comments guys, I literally just threw a scratch on there then caught a cold, haven't got back to it yet.

I did fix the drums tho

EZD is pretty kick ass especially if you are drum-tarded like me.
