guys, a band i did a remix/master for a song just finished their
first video. so its actually my first video (mix). i think the video is ok for a low low budget.

the mixing, editing and mastering for this took 3 days,

guitars were diezel vh 4 thru mesa v30, sm 57,
bass was a di sandberg, drums were replaced with one of my single hits snare sound, i blended with the original snare sound

anyone dig the mixing ?
AND do you think the mastering is ok ?

i never did something for a video, is there anyhting special (due to broadcast compression / limiting) that one has to be aware of?

Yeah sounds awesome to me.
I love the drummers stick tricks at 1;45ish. Crazy.
Did you use the Paramore snare as you 'single snare sample'?

And what did you use for the toms, they sound incredible! Mind sharing the samples?

thanks guys!

i know i mix kicks very clicky, i love it that way, as most small speakers
wont give enough low end to make the kick punch through.

i always think of mixes for the worst case, like small shitty speakers. if the mmix. doesnt work there, somethings wrong with the mid range.

the snare sample is actually one from my library that i modelled after the paramore snare, including heavy voxengo curve eqing,
it sounds 90 % like the paramore snare, its very very close.
consists of 3 different snare sounds, including slate and superior 2.0.
the layering made it really fat, combined with heavy compression.

i tried to give it a really consistent sound, so i only used this one shot sample.

man how did you know it was modelled after the paramore ? ;-) nice !

toms - > have to check that when i get home, i guess it was the original DW set, he plays, but i will look that up! maybe i can druma - gog them.
