My new mix – carcass cover inside

Hey guys!
My friend recorded Carcass cover – Incarnated solvent abuse. I reamped guitars and bass and mixed song. Check it out please.
Guitars in G-tuning, I used 3 mics technique, drums are NY Avatar. The mix level is so fucking loud.

guitars and vox are fine,

drums dont really sound death in a way. the floor tom sounds like a kick drum.

snare is too compressed and no attack.
kicks need to be changed or havto be loud in the mix. cymbals are too harsh and clean. you might want to parallel compress the overheads and put them through an amp sim, then mix it with original 50-50 or 30-70.

cant hear bass that well.

Snare and other drums except toms have no any compression. Compressor only on drum group with low ratio and midlevel threshold, and used against the peaks. Kicks and toms sound is possible to make more brighter and higher, but I wanted to get low bulky mix sound like bulldozer.
Here’s second version with more classic metal drums sound – less room, more kick, cracky toms, punchy snare, also more bass and less guitars. Check it!

Yeah man, G-tuning is not good for me too. Strings was 13-56, it’s too thin for G. I’d prefer B-tuning as original or more fat strings for G ((
