MY NEWEST WORK! BETRAYING THE MARTYRS ALBUM TEASER! YOUTUBE!

How the heck did I miss this earlier? Easily the heaviest mix I've heard on here. Outstanding work!

I agree with you, might be pretentious to say that my band's album sounds BEAST but DAMNED, Charles J Wall is the man <3

When I come to florida i'm gonna have babies with that guy !!

I gotta be honest and say that if it was just a bit less loud at the mastering stage, this would probably be my favourite heavy mix ever.

LMFAO, you're one of the coolest dudes I've ever stumbled across! Really, the band made it easy on my because they write SUCH good fucking songs. Arrangements, Instrumentation, Transitions, etc....

Mastering was a careful balance... when I pulled it back even a hair the whole spectrum of the mix would shift, it would start to sound a bit aenemic, not nearly as aggressive, so on and so forth...

SOOO, everyone pick this up! BTM has created a landmark album IMO and I foresee a LOT of other bands coping' this type of style.

I call it:

Blackened Symphonic Deathcore.

LOL.

Damn seems I missed that back then
Awesome production work, congrats on the sign!

Not huge into deathcore and stuff, but I found myself digging the music.
And even if the growls are awesome, both mix and vocalist, and the orchestrations make a really nice change I thought at the end "would be great if there was some melodic singing for a change now"
BAM
2 seconds later the singing part at the end kicked in
really nice!

edit: not a huge fan of the bass grind though...farts a bit much for my tastes ^^

I love the tone of these last 3 songs they've posted up. One of the best productions I've heard this year. I'm iTune-ing this album as soon as it comes out! Might even pre-order - live life on the edge lol

Man..I would kill for their PT sessions to mix for fun....or just one song. But legal rights prevail :/

Also, Aaron Matts just made it onto my list of favorite screamers...Michael Akerfeldt, Phil Bozeman, Randy Blythe, and now Aaron Matts.
