I woke up at 9am, there for me I had in my possession was:

Avantasia - The Metal Opera
Cradle Of Filth - Midian
Edguy - Vain Glory Opera
Inflames - Colony
Poison - Swallow This (Live)
Sepultura - Chaos A.D.
Slayer - Reign In Blood

Now it seems I'm set for the rest of the holidays.

Haven't had time to listen to much yet, just half of Avantasia and half of Chaos A.D.[/color]

Colony was where IN Flames started goin crappy I reckon, That album is still a hell of a lot better then clayman but.

Even though I already own a few of the tracks (Angel of Death, Altar of Sacrifice, Jesus Saves, Raining Blood, Postmortem) off the Live album released back in 1990.

Damn fine Slayer. Seasons In The Abyss is still my favourite.[/color]

GHUA is a brilliant Slayer Album indeed go get that, and listen to all of Chaos and don't bother with anything else till ya done there

I can tell you what it's like

I only have the 1 CD version, and I think the tracklisting sucks... and Bret's vocals are really bad. But its very very live sounding, sounds like there are no overdubs at all, lots of energy and attitude. Just very sloppy.

The 2CD version seems to have a much much better tracklisting. They left most of the good songs off the 1CD one and left all the crap ones like Your Mama Don't Dance, Poor Boy Blues, Every Rose Has Its Thorn and Talk Dirty To Me, etc.

Raw live albums can be so much better than polished ones sometimes Some good examples are:

Judas Priest - Live Meltdown
Metal Church - Live

Yep that's true

Live Meltdown is one of the best I've ever heard. But Poison's one it's not so much the production, it just sounds sloppy. Mainly the vocals that's all. Bret is out of breath the whole time coz he runs so much hahah!

The 2CD version of Swallow This is very good. Haven't heard it in a while though.

If you want In Flames at their best buy The Jester race or Whoracle, they others fail any grandness compared to them.

"Whoracle" was my first In Flames CD. I had sort of heard of them but didn't know anything about them, and when Brashes were closing down they were having these huge CD sales (everything must go!) and I saw "Whoracle" there for $12 so I snapped it up. Talk about value for money!!

I listen to Whoracle at least ocne a day, it rocks so much.

The song Whoracle is the best driving song ever,as long as your on a windy country road.

Chaos AD is such an overrated album. To put it in Koichi's term's Chaos AD is Sepultura's "Colony" - it was all downhill from there... although Colony kicks way much more ass than Chaos AD ever will. If you want Sepultura it has to be Beneath The Remains or Arise
