In reply to the second topic brought up:

1. Metallica - My father's side...Blasted them while I was in the womb quite a bit

2. The Beatles - My mother's side...Showed me the importance of being catchy, and perfect arrangements of songs as well as how to get it all out there in under three minutes

3. AC/DC - Always there to remind me that it doesn't always have to be thrash thrash thrash, but you can still kick ass with rock n' roll

4.The Misfits - The REASON I'm a musician. I taught myself guitar to these guys. It led me to discover Samhain and Danzig, both of which I actually listen to more now, but the 'Fits will always hold a special place in my heart

5. Anthrax - Anybody know that emotional peaking point when you're metal-ing it up so incredibly hard that you just start wielding yourself around like a ragdoll and feel invincible? I'd say 'Thrax brings that out of me the most

Honorable mention: Iron Maiden - They just fucking rule

I can't do a list of 5. There are way to many albums that just kick ass to narrow it down to 5. Could I leave off Elton John Goodbye Yellow Brick Road or Beastie Boys Pauls Boutique. Hell, Between Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer, I would have a hard time picking only 5.

If I had to pick the 5 most important bands in my life they'd be:

1. Anthrax - They were one of the first metal bands that I got into, and from the first day that I heard them, till now they are my Favourite band.

2. Black Sabbath - The first metal band that I heard.

3. Megadeth - They along with Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax got me into thrash metal and other underground forms of metal.

4. Metallica - For the same reason as Megadeth.

5. Slayer - For the same reason as Megadeth.

An honourable mention goes to Jimi Hendrix, because he inspired me to play the guitar, though I rarely listen to him today.
