My Ultimate IR pack. 57, i5, 421, 906. Recto OS, 1960, PPC412

After my marshall cab impulse was so well received I decided to make a pack.
Firstly for my own use but also for you guys ;-)

Pack is at 44.1 and 48 and includes:
SM57, MD421, i5 and E906 each on
Recto OS cab, Marshall 1960 upgraded with V30s and Orange PPC412.
Return on 6505 used for poweramp.

All mics positioned using pink noise and every impulse is in phase so you can use any mic from any cab and blend!
I hope this is good because it took AGES!!

This is using 906 recto, 57 1960 and 421 orange combined.
Starts with single guitar then left and right guitars with backing track.
Podfarm screamer to Lecto to LeCab.
A bit of multiband and eq were used.
All comments, good or bad, appreciated.

I find much more of difference changing cabs than heads and I think these IRs prove that.

My motivation for doing this was so I can try a simulation of these mics with the different cabs and see what works best for a band before setting everything up.

It will be great to be able say that the 421 and 57 on orange cab works for these guys then set it up rather than spending ages setting up all combinations to find the best sound for the band. Also by the time you go through several rigs your ears are gone.

I am really enjoying combining cabs with these IRs. I am hearing the recto as low mid punch, orange as mid mids and marshall as high mids and they sound great combined!
LeCab is great for this and I think it's amazing for a free plugin.
Here is deliverance DI pack with mix as pic below. I used a bit of cut at 700 to get rid of boxiness but needed no high mid cut. The IRs combine in such a way that the 4-5k fizz is cancelled out.

Okay so this is a clip I made. 1) Mesa 2) Orange 3) Marshall. Mesa sounded best to me here. Personally I would have the Orange mic closer to the center.

Haha.. actually I made an impulse today out of a Harley Benton 4x12 V30 cab and I just loaded it up in the same session and it definitely holds up to the "more expensive cabs".
