Had time today to make some IRs with my Beyer M201 mic.
6505 FX return>Recto cab>M201
There are 3 IRs in the pack.

API A2D pre
Focusrite ISA828 pre
Universal Audio LA610 pre

Use a different one for left, right and leads for maximum stereo width.

These sound absolutely fantastic with great clarity and punch.
Test using icem4n's AILD upload (thanks):

The pack in 44.1 and 48K:

Please post clips if you test or use these for a song.

Thanks for sharing! It´s sounds good!
But I have to put the input really low because it´s sounding really high (volume),
I don't know if this is an issue anyway..

Thank you again, here's my test:
the Darker tone = Super Duper M201 IR Pack!
the Brighter tone = My personal impulses

I´m used to brighter tones but darker sounds seems to fit better in this mix.
But I not sure, What do you think?

I much prefer the M201 here.
It has no fizz. I always find myself needing to cut some 4K on other mics.
Try a low mid cut at about 300 and a bit of high shelf below the LPF and it will sound brighter but still with no fizz.
That's why I love the 201. It takes EQ really well.
Which impulses did you use for left and right?

Thanks for the tips, I will work on it

Which impulses did you use for left and right?
M201-API left
M201-610 right
(Using recabinet 3.5, dual tracks only)

I this case I am using also diferent amps:
TSE X40 0.6 left
NRR-1 2.0 right
(before boosted by Tomato Preamp v1.0 by Roxolder)
(and using after the TSE X50 poweramp)

With a touch of Satson, Nebula Consoles and tape machines etc..
(Have to play more with it)

Wow, thanks, I was looking to get a M201 just to record some impulse. Now I don't have to... ;)

I've made a really quick mix using just the M201 impulses.
I'm sorry it sounds mediocre but I think it's good enough to post here.

Sounds really good.
Thanks for posting.
It's great to hear people using these.
I remember when I re-amped that track for the comp I had real trouble with the di tracks. They sounded sharp and I found it very hard to get that squishy compressed drive I usually aim for. Seems to be the same here. The drive is very spiky with no compression in the low mids.
I ended up giving up on doing a regular mix and remixed it into a Bolt Thrower style track instead :)
