MYSONGBOOK.COM

There's a lot about it in their forum. Basically its just a french thing. Cos they are on a french server. And the whinger population from france are just like "Uhuhu, dis is le copywraaaaaaight. We are losink tres lots of money". So they had to shut it down until they can win back their site.

Its definately not fair, cos most bands on there wouldnt even sell tab books, but hey what can u do?? I use ultimate-guitar.com now, but its shiterer.

Even though that was supposed to be humorous, french people are the first to be upset by this. It has nothing to do with french "whinger population", but rather french multinational corporations such as Vivendi. These guys are so afraid of internet and P2P that they'll do anything (and that includes anything stupid) to "protect" the music industry.

So they basically managed to create a law (you all know that industry has more power than politicians...) that prevents you from copying a cd YOU OWN (to listen to it in your car for example). That is forbidden now if that cd is protected, because software that breaks anticopy protection are outlaw. You guessed right, part of the stupid law includes... free tabs on the net. There are many other aspects of this law which make me a "dangerous criminal". Fucking politicians and businessmen.
