My guess? Savatage's farewell show. They're doing a Savatage reunion as the second set of the European TSO shows this spring (so they shouldn't need much rehearsal), and if Paul is willing to let them have that, I really can't see him begrudging them a one-off show in September (keeping in mind that the TSO tour ends in May and the holiday tour won't start until November) to close the book.

I'm totally stumped, but I'm sure it isn't any of the bands mentioned in this thread since Glenn said it would be a band that would appeal to people outside of the PP Forum.

BUT... he never said it wouldn't also appeal to the people here as well. I'm guessing he's indicating a broader appeal, although it could be a narrower one, just generally different from what most of the folks here seem to like.

And I wouldn't even hazard a guess. I'm pretty sure there's no way I'd come anywhere close anyway.

Hi everyone. To keep this short... I have been to PP USA 5 times... read this forum everyday... and finally decided to come out of lurking mode.

With that in mind... I second the idea (has it been mentioned?) of having Pain of Salvation and the secret band and forcing them to play The Perfect Element P1.

I got all excited when this thread was unstickied earlier and thought that an announcement was shortly incoming. At this point, I have NO IDEA who the band is and sort of expect all of us to get owned like what happened with the "Guess the Lineup" post... but my brain still wants to come up with ideas. Yeah, I had the same reaction. And it happened just before I had to leave so I kept refreshing the page on my iPhone while I was out doing errands.
