Name all of the metal albums that you own

These threads always get out of hand...I recommend that people use tools such as www.cd-tracker.com to keep track of their CDs. It's much easier and takes up far less space.

Here is mine, minus some recent additions of purchases that have yet to arrive, including Uncanny, Sadus, Necrophobic, Mezzrow, Incantation, Tankard, Living Death, Paradox, Destiny's End, and others.

Those are all bought and not downloaded? dizzaaym, i thought i was crazy. How old are you?

i have public image limited's "album" and 7 emperor dics on vinyl and also a signed vinyl copy of "budgie's greatest hits" or whatever it's called.

other than that, every CD i "own" as in "bought" is scratched and lying on the floor of my car in a pile and has since been replaced by Mp3 versions.

i've got about 70 or 80 gigs of music, otherwise. that's like 109 thousand albums.

I've yet to add about 50...I'm actually not much of a fan of SYL, nor about 20-30 other albums in my collection that I need to sell.

Let me know what they are in advance, chances are I'd buy some.:headbang:

Is there a better system than this? Short of Erik's comprehensive but probably labour-intensive list, at least. There's no way to separate format, which is fucking shit.

I've got over 400 CDs (last time I counted) and not enough motivation to list them right now. I usually spend anywhere from $100-200/month on CDs. I'm gradually trying to quit buying CDs and go 100% digital.

Is that really all of the albums you own?

I've only been into metal since late December so my collection is pretty small, but I'm building it up.

I have a list of all my music but that includes downloaded stuff too. I have been meaning to get/make something that I can use to keep track of my physical collection, but haven't had the time or the will to do so. So, here's my ghetto solution:

F:\>dir *.m3u /W /ON >> G:\albums.txt

Result: a list of all my albums that I have in mp3 format

813 albums in mp3 total, and I own about 475 CDs. So there's about a 60% chance that I own a given album on that list. And no it's not just metal albums but I have no convenient way to split those off. So tough luck.
