...I recently bought this guitar from Ebay as a project, it was a total impulse purchase, cost me about £70.
I bought it because it reminded me so much of the Dean Z-88, but I honestly have no idea what make it is, and when I asked the seller, they didn't respond...

anyone have any idea??

I'm thinking when I get some spare money together that its gonna be renovated, not sure about changing the pickups (Select, passive EMG designed). Anyone has any interesting ideas, I'm all ears...

thanks

The headstock says "Kramer" to me, but then again it could be one of billions of cheap knockoffs. It looks like a shredtacular axe, though, so if it plays decently and feels like it'd be worth putting some money into, I'd go for some passive shred pups (Dimarzio Evolution, for example) to keep with the image! Also, how do those toggles work?

Ebony board?

Yeah its Ebony, nice too, all the dings it has and none of them are on the fretboard...

... how do those toggles work?

The toggles are on/off switches for each pickup...

its got quite a few shallow knocks in it, so i'm looking to hand it sanded and sprayed, and the neck was slightly cracked, but was repaired professionally before purchase...

Bill Steer from Carcass played a guitar kind of like this one back in 86-88 but nobody here on the forum could identify it when I posted it a few years ago, minus the inlay....it has the same headstock.

I can capture better shots if somebody can tell me how to capture pics from DVD using a Mac?

Thats the same guitar, score! :notworthy

Yeah, except for the hardware color and inlays it sure looks like it, good fucking find Carcass!! (living up to your username I suppose  )

Im thinking homebrew, maybe Warmoth or something.
Detach the neck and check if there is any writing in the slotting?
Does it have a serialnumber?

Also: The neck on that picture doesnt have any inlays(Carcass)?

thanks man...

seriously, I have the DVD how do I capture a still photo using MAC? command/shift/3 isn't working.

The tremolos don't appear to be the same it seems judging by the photos (I could be wrong) but the headstock is exact in the video I own. It even has a logo in the video but it's hard to make out....

I think this is another question that Andy could ask Bill with the infamous what amp did he use for Heartwork?
