Need a new Death Metal band

You got the wrong album bro, your talking about SHOVEL HEADED KILL MACHINE....different album.... Get your shit straight if your going to shit talk a well respected thrash band.
where did i say that deathamphetamine was on Atrocity Exhibition.

Reading comprehension much?
if i meant the only song on that album i would've said something along the lines of "the only song on that album" not "the only exodus song" because until the sentence prior the conversation covered ONLY atrocity. I opened up the playing field by saying "any other exodus album". Its okay i know most people on this forum can't read.

furthermore i love exodus again if you read any other part of the thread then you would know that i was the one to defend the album in the first place. I just think their stuff can be a bit repetitive and loses its novelty faster than some other thrash bands.

Actually "Riot Act", and "Children of a Worthless God" are well arranged, have an arc, and are not repetitive at all.

Children of a Worthless God... not being repetitive at all? Considering it has an opening riff, then a main riff that's repeated ad nauseum until the chorus...then a bridge...then the verse, chorus, bridge, solo, etc etc...

Atrocity Exhibition was an atrocity, it's that simple. Lee Altus should go back to Heathen, his talents are much better suited than in nu-Exodus.

Cannibal Corpse. They have a new CD out. Just look for the one with the gayest cover art. But I've listened to it a couple of times since I bought it a month ago and it was pretty good.

Its a thrash record. It sounds like that isn't your thing, which is fine. But in the latest thrash revival of the last few years, AE is one of the better albums IMO.

Yeah dude. Name ONE thrash song that has more than 3 riffs. I dare you.

We aren't talking about Necrophagist or The Faceless here. Thrash has never aimed to have complex song structure.

It just so happens that the songs on this album are 8 minutes long.

I listen to plenty of thrash, but the Holt dictatorship in Exodus has gone to the extreme now. Tempo of the Damned was a great Exodus revival album, and Shovel Headed Kill Machine is standable, but The Atrocity Exhibition is just horrid basically. Children of a Worthless God is one of the songs I can stand, and quite possibly the best on that album - but saying that it's not repetitive is an idiotic statement, simply because it is repetitive.

Kill 'Em All is repetitive too then. I find Holt's arrangements variable enough for me. Repetition in itself is not necessarily a bad thing in thrash is all I'm saying. You find a groove and bang your head to it for awhile. Is it progressive? Um, no. Intellectual? No again. Fun? Hell yes.

Cannibal Corpse sounds funny for me. For example when I am listening to Hammer Smashed Face, I cannot just stop laughing at the first lyrics of the song. The vocals are soo funny :D
