Would like some comments on this mix please.

Drums are real cymbals with Metal Machine shells. Guitars are TSE 808->TSE X50->s-preshigh impulse. Bass is 3 tracks: DI, Ezmix for distortion, and Ezmix bass amp sim, all blended. Vocals is SM57. All audio tracked with a Focusrite 6 USB.

cymbals sound bad and too loud in my opinion.

I would apply a small high cut on the cymbals so they aren't so bright. Also would lower them a touch.

Sounds raw and aggressive which fits the style. Bass sound is not of my fancy

Thanks for the comments so far. I'll work on the cymbals this evening and play around with some bass tones as well.

Adjusted EQ and levels on cymbals, used TSE BOD on bass, made some changes in the mastering chain, sped tempo up by 7 BPM, put in a few vocal effects.

I think the blended bass could have a little more low end as well as the bass drum to give your mix some extra punch and subwoof. Vocals could come out a little more by compressing them, are you saturating them by any chance? Also, I'm looking for help on one of my mixes, I posted a thread so it'd be cool if you could help me out too!
