Need help from you native English speakers regarding text for tattoo

I would be glad to get some help with a private issue. I want to get tattooed with a part of a lyrics and want to ask you, if this quatrain is possible to interpret for a native English speaker or does it make no sense at all outside the entire song lyrics?

The song is "Crawl" by Sparta

I want to change the last line:

The difference between
Finding what you love
And loving what you found
Is killing again and again

The lyrics are a bit ambiguous. "Killing us" in the original doesn't necessarily mean the relationship is literally gonna lead to death. Kinda like when people say "this weather is killing me". The way you changed it basically asserts that people have been driven to suicide (or at least left with seriously broken hearts) because someone was never satisfied and always searching for something more.
