Need help... total N00B at recording need to know what to buy.

Hey guys. I brought a presonus firestudio project about 2 days ago and I need some help picking out gear to improve my recordings. any suggestions on what my next purchases should be. sorry for the really general question!


also if any of you guys have any of these things and are willing to sell/ know of where I can buy for cheap please let me know

-rack(4-6 spaces)

when i first started out(several months ago). I read everything i could possibly find on here before purchasing anything. There is sooooo much knowledge on here to no only find what's worth buying, but also improve your recordings 10x without spending a dime.

You must specify what are you planning to record and which gear you already have... which monitors? Have you any?

Yeah, you should provide us with a list of what you already have. If you haven't got any yet, get a pair of decent monitors and acoustic treatment for your room. If your monitoring sucks, you won't be able to tell when you find that Holy Grail of metal guitar tone
