Need help using EZDrummer

I've got EXDrummer as well as a couple of different recording programs. The one that works with EZDrummer is Cubase SX 3. I can open the drum kit, change the sounds etc, but how do you actually start programming the drums or use the drag and drop?
I'm new to all this.

I use ezdrummer with Acid Pro 6.0

I used to use Cubase but I kind of like Acid better, it's still not perfect either (no count in, that sucks). I just drag and drop the premade grooves. I should learn how to make my own beats and also how to make the finished drums sound better. Thy always sound like shit for some reason. I need to learn alot about recording, it's a pain in the ass.
