Need help with really odd Cubase 5 bug

I've been mixing in Reaper for the last 2 years and tried out my dad's Cubase 5. After doing some mixing, i found something very odd when i started to sweep with the EQ. As soon as i boosted some frequencies, the left side of the fader started to rise and i could only hear the Eq in the left speaker. It is very odd, and i'm pretty sure that it isn't my speakers, since i could actually see the fader being louder on the left side. Have anyone tried anything like this before?

Mono EQ on a Stereo track?? Happens to me if I accidentally open HeQ in mono instead of stereo
