...identifying an album cover. Back in the 80's I remember seeing an ad in Hit Parader for this album, but have no idea who it is.

The album cover was a live picture of a guy standing over the body of a dead woman/man. I believe he had the murder weapon in his hand and that it was next to the ocean.

Unfortunately that's all I can recall about it. Sound familiar to anyone out there? I had it in my head for years that it was Whiplash, but as earch of all their covers turned up nothing.

PREDATOR? no murder weapon but when you said ocean this came to mind instantly.

That's it!!! man I have been trying to find that for years. Obviously my memory was a bit fuzzy, but knew someone here would come through. Thanks.

Back in 1995 right after I got out of the Army the apartment I was living in burned down. I lost approximately half of my vinyl collection. This was among those, I wouldn't even want to tell you some of the rest of those that I lost. Suffice to say that it stretched back to the late 50's due to my mother being a collector and huge fan of music. I still prefer the sound of music on vinyl over tape, cd, or digital.

Seems we have both lost collections to fires. I lost over half of my collection and mainly ALL of my metal in 2005. it was actually the catalyst for me starting Divebomb.

That's something that could use a reissue :) And Intruder, which I just picked up Psycho Savant today.

Intruder's were reissued already. Lost & Found did them and would be the only label to get them again in North America I am sure.

How did the Psycho Savant turn out on that Brazilian label?

Sounds and looks fine. No huge logos from licensing label and a six pages booklet with lyrics.

Who reissued Psycho Savant? That one is a classic! Any bonus tracks?

Urubuz Records did. No bonus tracks, but I asked Metal Blade about it before buying and it's 100% legal. You can take from Marquee Records (Brazil).

Yeah I had heard it was legit. Funny thing is I saw on their page they are doing some other stuff including Liege Lord Master Control, but the band owns the rights to that album these days and not MB. hahaha.

Eviction has been trying to get to the bottom of their agreement as well since the album is up for digital download. This is the grey area I was talking about before. Nobody knows who has the rights until some serious digging is done.

Is it possible to make a move for that stuff & the Predator album?

No, Bryan and I have an unspoken rule between us. I don't touch stuff he has mentioned going after/or done before and vice versa. Plus, if there is anyone who is going to do the Intruder's again it's going to be him. The paperwork was already done once for licensing, they can just send out a new contract.

That Predator album is pretty bad if I remember correctly but maybe I need to go back to it. I have my sights set on about 5 other Metal Blade titles.

EDIT: Streamed some stuff online and it's not as awful as I remember, but only issue I see with a reissue is it's from 1986 and was never on CD so masters are more than likely lost. but you never know.

Yeah, the album cover is horrible, but I used to listen to this a lot back in my high school years. Fairly decent metal album.
