I recall making a cut around 2k, as there was some pretty hard stuff in that region. It could be fair to say that it's a touch too present there. Due to the nature of the riffs & how the rhythm guitar sounded (the instrument itself, not the amp) I had to try to make it cut through the upper midrange, which is something I would normally avoid. As with all things, there is a fine balance.
 
Awesome mix, thanks for that Ermin. I tried out a lot of stuff, but when I bypassed them, I ended up taking most of the stuff of as they didn't make it sound better, but I ended up with a chain like this:

clean -> main
parallel comp -> main: FG-X, mixed pretty low

main: Waves Linear band EQ (highpass, -2dB at ~400hz and +2dB hishelf), Cubase stock stereo enhancer (not for the stereo enhancer so much, but for the "color" knob), FG-X

Didn't go for the maximum loudness thing, but tried to find a happy medium between dynamic and loud, ended up at ~10dB RMS
