I'm not exactly sure what it is I like so much about this album, but suffice to say that of all my metal stuff this album has aged really well after many repeated listenings and my changing taste and getting into a lot of other (non metal) kinds of music.

So yeah, just throw something out that maybe has a similar feel?

The earlier stuff have a more Epic viking black feel, while the later is more atmospheric. Check out songs from their first and latest to see the contrast.

In other news---wow---Monumension is really good. I can't believe it took me this long to check it out. Years ago I'd listened to BTL and sort of liked it (grew on me a lot over time), but then bought Frost and VV and flat out did not enjoy it much at all. Guess I'll be needing to buy everything post BTL asap.
